The Collection
The Museum’s holdings record different moments in the history of Informatics and Telecommunications and in the working life of the Department.
The collection includes computing and telecommunications equipment, storage media, scientific instruments, photographs, publications, documents and other material preserved by the Department. Documentation and digitisation are ongoing.
The Museum currently makes more than 200 exhibits available online, including several objects that can be explored as 3D scans.
Oral Histories
Objects preserve one kind of history. Personal testimony preserves another.
As part of the Museum’s development, interviews were recorded with members of the Department to document its history and the development of Informatics and Telecommunications through the experiences of people who participated in them.
